We are looking to use the fantastic internal talent we have here at IAG. We're after the following skill set so you can succeed in this role.
- Knowledge of delivery, implementation, and operation of service desk/ticketing services.
- This role will entail some afterhours work as the team support apps 24/7.
- Ability to build and maintain good working relationships.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Confidence in liaising with all levels of customers and management..
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Excellent judgement and decision-making capabilities.
- Ability to identify and solve problems through analysis and planning.
- Proactive and self-starter.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Adaptability and willingness to learn new technologies and skills.
Required:
- 2+ years experience in a DevOps/Development environment.
- Experience in incident, problem, and change management processes.
- Experience working with issue & problem tracking systems such as Jira and ServiceNow.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities with the ability to identify root cause and implement resolutions.
- Experience in Java - developing, testing/troubleshooting
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Experience with one of the major cloud providers, ideally AWS
Advantageous:
- Knowledge of the insurance business and it's systems
- Bachelor's degree/diploma in Information Systems, Computer Science or a related field.
- Scripting: Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python).
