Whittens Newman, Western Australia, AustraliaJoin or sign in to find your next jobJoin to apply for the FIFO Project Manager role at WhittensWhittens Newman, Western Australia, Australia2 days ago Be among the first 25 applicantsJoin to apply for the FIFO Project Manager role at WhittensWhittens is an Australian owned and operated multidisciplined civil construction company, proudly offering over 23 years’ experience throughout Western Australia, New South Wales, Queensland, Northern Territory and Queensland.With a growing reputation, we continue to partner with some of Australia’s major Infrastructure and mining clients, specialising in the delivery of large scale and technically complex concrete construction, roadworks, earthworks, NPI and piping works projects.Our mission, as an agile and people centric business, is to be the market leader in civil contracting, achieving sustainable growth through high performing people who safely deliver successful project outcomes for their clients.We are recruiting an experienced FIFO 2/1 FIFO Project Manager with a background in Civil scopes including FRP, Concrete, Piping, Earthworks, Utilities and drainage.Key Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited ToDelivery of assigned project by building a high performing safe and sustainable team to achieve project objectives.Determine construction methods, materials and quality standards, and drafting and interpreting specifications, drawings, plans, construction methods and procedures.Prepare and submit notifications to the Client / Principal Contractor as required.Organise, plan and manage direct site labour and ensure effective workforce planning.Monitor changes to designs, assessing effects on cost, and measuring, valuing and negotiating variations to designs in consultation with the Commercial team.Ensure strict compliance with contract notices and management of subcontractors in strict compliance with agreements.Build on and retain key interface relationships with Client, site team and Whittens leadership.Identify and support emerging leaders and facilitate upskilling and development plans.Track and produce accurate cost tracking date including holding weekly project reviewsAbout you:Tertiary Qualifications in Civil or Structural Engineering is preferredDemonstrated Project Management experience in a similar role with a ContractorBHP Project Experience - highly regardedPrevious experience working a FIFO or DIDO roster to a remote siteDemonstrated experience in managing a self-perform direct workforce as well as managing subcontractorsSuperior time and priority management skillsConfidence in managing across a range of different relationships throughout the business and on siteCommercial AcumenVisible leaderWhat we offer:Whittens are committed to investing in our people and rewarding the skills and experience you bring.
