We're seeking a senior technology lawyer with deep experience in implementing technology strategies involving complex legal issues in data, privacy, and cyber security. The ideal candidate thrives in dynamic environments and brings curiosity, humility, and a collaborative mindset.
You'll deliver strategic, practical legal advice and communicate effectively with senior stakeholders across a diverse practice. You'll work both independently and as part of a high-performing legal team.

Key Responsibilities May Include:
Advising on:
* Engagement of technology vendors and implementation of complex technology solutions.
* Regulatory issues involving technology.
* Data protection and privacy law implications for strategic initiatives.
* Legal, governance, and regulatory aspects of artificial intelligence.
* Cyber security compliance in financial services.
* Intellectual property, sponsorship, and marketing matters.
* M&A transactions, partnerships, and joint ventures, including data separation and access.
* Development and implementation of policies and procedures across Technology, Cyber Security, Privacy, and Procurement.
We're Interested in Individuals Who Have:
* 8+ years of post-admission experience in a top-tier Australian or international firm. In-house experience in a large corporate, preferably within financial services or another regulated industry, is desirable.
* Strong commercial and financial acumen, with curiosity about transaction and partnership drivers.
* Excellent technical legal skills and a commitment to continuous learning.
* A keen interest in emerging legal risks in technology, data protection, operational risk, critical infrastructure, privacy, cyber security, and AI.
* The ability to build strong stakeholder relationships and communicate complex issues with clarity and influence.
* A collaborative approach, sound judgement, and a proactive mindset.
