Job Title: Marine Project Coordinator / Marine Maintenance Engineer
Location: Australia (Candidate must be willing to relocate to Australia)
Industry: Ship Repair / Shipbuilding / Marine Engineering
Job Summary:
We are seeking experienced professionals from the ship repair or shipbuilding industry to join a leading marine company. Candidates with prior Middle East/Gulf experience will be preferred. The role involves coordinating marine maintenance, repair, and operational activities while supporting project execution and vessel maintenance programs.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide technical support and guidance to operational teams
* Assist in preparing Project Work Packs and operational instructions
* Support planning and execution of maintenance activities for vessels and marine equipment
* Ensure compliance with Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) regulations and company policies
* Coordinate and schedule project activities to meet operational deadlines
* Prepare, update, and monitor project schedules and critical timelines
* Track project progress, costs, and resource utilization
* Evaluate and update project forecasts based on actual progress and expenses
* Coordinate with internal departments, contractors, and management for smooth project execution
* Maintain accurate project, maintenance, and operational documentation
Requirements
* Diploma/Degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field preferred
* 4+ years of experience in ship repair, shipbuilding, marine maintenance, or dry dock operations
* Candidates with Middle East/Gulf experience will be preferred
* Strong understanding of marine engineering operations and maintenance planning
* Ability to manage project schedules, timelines, and operational activities
* Good communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills
* Knowledge of workplace safety standards and compliance requirements
