Belt Technician is responsible for performing steel cord and fabric conveyor belt splicing and repairs. This includes laying pulleys on site with cold vulcanized lagging in compliance with work standards. Belt Technicians also apply rubber linings to pipes, spools, launders, chutes etc.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform routine maintenance tasks including roller changes, roller frame change out and repairs, skirt replacement and repairs, installation of tracking devices
* Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and log all information into the asset management app (PDS)
* Operate mechanical conveyor belt handling equipment such as winders, winches and belt stands
Qualifications and Experience:
* A minimum of a Level 2 or 3 Belt Splicing trade qualification or similar
* Significant experience in a fixed plant continuous processing plant
* Strong understanding of both production and maintenance strategies for large-scale, continuous processing plants
* Proven commitment to safety and zero harm
