Job Opportunity: Category Development Executive
We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical individual to drive growth with our market-leading brands. This pivotal role within the Category & Shopper Marketing team is responsible for driving category understanding and shaping data into strategies for internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead category insights, strategies, and growth drivers, new product development, reviews, and execution in assigned categories.
* Present range reviews and category engagements with customers, including category strategies, range recommendations, and planogram implementation.
* Lead/drive internal commercial forums and support business planning processes and projects.
* Accelerate growth vectors across emerging channels (Costco, Aldi, Amazon, etc.).
* Manage category reporting and administration.
Requirements:
* At least 3 years of FMCG industry experience in sales, trade marketing, or category, preferably in category or insights roles.
* Previous experience using scan and shopper data including IRI, Nielsen & Quantium data.
* Proven experience interpreting and analysing multiple data sources to provide actionable insights and communicate effectively.
* Ability to manage through ambiguity and change.
* Self-motivated, well organised, and able to prioritise and manage multiple projects.
Essential Skills:
* Experience working on consumer brands & understanding of category in the Australian grocery environment.
* Strong analytical ability – the ability to derive actionable insights from data.
* Experience in using syndicated data (both scan and shopper).
* Excellent stakeholder management skills.
* The ability to partner effectively and work cross-functionally.
* Influencing skills and the ability to take others on the journey.
* Effective written and oral communication skills.
* Effective planning and prioritization.
* High attention to detail in a complex and changing environment.
* Proficient in Microsoft platforms.
