Workforce Road Services is seekingTraffic Controllers for an Immediate Start.We are looking for people with a positive "can do" attitude and willingness to work in an exciting fast-paced environment alongside a dynamic team and who are motivated, reliable and responsible.

We are seeking Traffic Controllers with experience on Highway and Freeway projects, who can implement complex traffic plans. With Major Projects on the horizon, Workforce Road Services is looking for interested applicants who have experience in Traffic Control with various projects including Highways and Freeways, events, residential and construction.

Applicants must have previous experience as a Traffic Controller, due to the nature of the role, only applicants with correct and current accreditations/qualifications will be considered (please see required qualifications listed below).

Duties will include but not be limited to:

* Complete Vehicle Pre-Start Checks and Daily Diaries as required.
* Load and unload vehicles with signage & equipment.
* Implement and monitor the on-site operation of Traffic Management Plans & Traffic Guidance Schemes, to all required safety and quality standards.
* Monitor traffic behaviour and control traffic flow, as well as flow of pedestrians and cyclists, to ensure the safety of maintenance workers, on-site work crews and members of the public at all times.
* Use Stop/Slow signage and/or Stop Slow Bats to control traffic.
* Accurately follow instructions from the Scheduling Team, Operations Supervisor, Team Leaders, On-Site Foremen, Inspectors and Auditors.
* Complete and submit any relevant paperwork for jobsites, including safety inductions, as required.
* Perform all tasks associated with Traffic Management for Metro and Regional job sites and events.
* Complete site hazard assessments and check for suitability of control measures for the job site.
* Promptly report any on-site hazards and/or near misses.
* Use the Traffic Management Scheduling system – Traffio – to submit forms and dockets, as required.
* Use a two-way radio to effectively communicate and coordinate with team members.
* Drive a Visual Message Board or Truck Mounted Attenuator when required (if in possession of relevant & current ticket/license).

Required Skills & Qualities

* Current BWTM & TC (minimum required).
* Current White Card.
* Minimum 6 months' experience required as a Traffic Controller
* Current & valid Driver's License - WA Licence preferred, but Australian Licence or international Licence from a DoT-recognized country will be considered.
* Excellent communication.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
* Enthusiastic, reliable and willing to help out where able.
* Reliable and punctual.
* For inexperienced applicants - a willingness to learn.
* WTM and/or AWTM will be highly regarded.
* Previous experience in Team Leading will be highly regarded.
* Any additional industry-relevant training or inductions (eg: WaterCorp or Western Power) will be highly regarded.
* Any previous experience in FIFO or DIDO roles, or in regional work areas/positions, will be highly regarded.
