The Client

Our client is one of Australia's largest wholesalers of Industrial Products having warehouses and distribution centres in every state of Australia with 400+ employees. Our client has a huge range of over 30,000 products which covers:

* Power Tools
* Hand Tools
* Automotive
* Electrical
* Welding
* Drilling, Cutting & Abrasives
* Safety
* Lubricants & Oils

Due to a large increase in client orders, they are seeking an Internal/Counter Sales Representative to carry out a wide range of responsibilities based at their Karratha branch.

The Role

You will be focusing on Customer Service to a wide range of clients across all industry sectors including Mining, Oil & Gas, Construction, Manufacturing & Heavy Industry. As an Internal/Counter Sales Representative you will conduct numerous responsibilities which include:

* Processing Orders: Inputting clients order data onto the system such as Purchase Order Numbers through to Products, Quantities & Delivery Details
* Customer Service: Liaising with clients regarding orders such as stock availability, delivery schedules, product specifications & back orders
* Procurement / Sourcing / Special Orders: Sourcing specialty products / non-stocked items & getting technical specifications, pricing & availability which you would then quote the client
* Creating / Updating Client Accounts: Creating or updating existing accounts on the system
* Checking Stock Availability: If the requested items are in stock and available for shipping or are unavailable
* Back Orders: For items that are not in stock, creating a back order of the particular product & getting information on expected arrival dates
* Sales Quotes: Creating quotations that include costs of products, discounts & delivery charges. Also following up on submitted quotes
* Liaising with Inhouse Team Members: Liaising with Sales Team Members through to Warehouse, Logistics & Accounts relating to client requests or info such as if orders have been dispatched through to when products on Back Order may be arriving

As an Internal/Counter Sales Rep, you will be working in a fast‐paced work environment where you will conduct numerous responsibilities daily. Prioritising work tasks is essential as one minute you may be inputting an order onto the system, where you will receive a call from a client requesting a non-stocked item urgently and you have to drop everything and get onto the web to identify potential suppliers and get information from them across product specifications, price and availability and then secure the product, process the order and arrange a special delivery.

Customer Service and Sales are the main priority where Internal/Counter Sales Reps have to think on their feet and use initiative regularly to get sales over the line, such as providing clients with alternative products when requested items are not in stock, through to promptly getting back to clients on requests such as stock availability, quotes or special orders.

Working Days & Hours
* Working Days: Monday to Friday (No Weekends)
* Working Hours: 38 Per Week
* Location: Karratha
* Parking: Ample Free Parking on site
The Candidate

Candidates that have worked as an Internal Sales Representative/Counter Sales Representative or in a similar role especially in Industrial Products are high on our list. Candidates that do not possess experience as an Internal/Counter Sales Representative but have transferable skills such as those that have worked in administration, customer service or sales are encouraged to apply.

Must live locally in the Karratha area.

Have full working rights in Australia (Unfortunately we will not consider Working Holiday Visa Applicants).

Required Skills and Attributes
* Advanced Computer Skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
* Be focused on Customer Service, providing a professional, friendly and comprehensive service to clients
* Be Sales focused and enjoy getting sales over the line
* Highly Organized with the ability to quickly prioritize work tasks regularly
* Possess Initiative & good Problem-Solving skills
* Have proficiency and accuracy in data entry
* Have Attention to Detail and be able to follow strict systems and procedures
* Be highly efficient and be able to work under tight deadlines
* Be able to learn new software / programs quickly
Remuneration

Casual Employment (initial period - three months)

* Pay rate: $36.00 – $42.00 per hour
* Superannuation
* Overtime Penalties (where applicable)

Permanent Employment (upon transition)

* Upon successful completion of the casual period, the permanent remuneration package is expected to include:
* Open to negotiation based on experience, skills and qualifications
