HammondCare Waratah is currently looking for a Casual Service Support Employee - Kitchen Assistant to join our team. HammondCare has a unique model of care which places the resident's needs as our number one priority. As a part of the Support Service's Team you will support our model of care by delivering high quality services within the Kitchen to our residents in accordance with the organisational mission and mission in action statement.
Responsibilities
* Prepare and cook within an aged care environment.
* Demonstrate teamwork while also working independently and showing initiative.
* Follow all cleaning guidelines & schedules for all equipment & working surfaces.
* Understand safe manual handling and standard precautions.
* Understand safe food handling principles and create a safe working environment.
Qualifications
* Flexible and able to commit to a range of shifts including weekends.
* Experience in preparing and cooking in an aged care environment is advantageous.
