About the Client
Our client, a dynamic not-for-profit organisation, provides comprehensive assessment, treatment, and assertive outreach support for individuals with moderate to severe mental health needs. Through a multidisciplinary care team, we deliver a holistic, client-centred model of care, integrating with regional health teams to ensure timely and appropriate care, including inpatient support.
Role Overview
As a Counsellor, you will work within a collaborative multidisciplinary team, assisting clients with gambling and financial support. The role can be based in Windsor, Gold Coast, Deception Bay or Redcliffe, with required travel to various offices. A company car will be provided for travel, to be booked in advance.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct culturally sensitive and thorough assessments of clients.
* Provide case management support.
* Apply advanced specialist knowledge in gambling and financial support through assessments and decision‐making.
Mandatory Qualifications & Experience
* Registered Mental Health Nurse with AHPRA registration OR
* Bachelor of Occupational Therapy with AHPRA registration OR
* Bachelor of Social Work with AASW registration OR
* Bachelor of Counselling with PACFA or ACA registration
* Willingness to undergo a Criminal History Check.
* Current C‐Class Driver's License.
* Demonstrated high‐level verbal and written communication skills.
* At least 3 years of experience in a similar role.
