Job Opportunity
We are seeking a skilled and safety-focused Mechanical Fitter to join our team.
This role involves working hands-on with our mechanical fit-out and repair team, completing basic care, preventative maintenance, and planned corrective works on various plant and equipment across several factories.
* Completing routine tasks and resolving technical matters to ensure efficient site operations.
* Working collaboratively with the operations and production teams to implement required repairs and modifications.
* Assisting with metal fabrication welding (steel and aluminium) and metal machinery and press work.
* Providing support to the site for unplanned stoppages to minimize plant downtime.
* Documenting maintenance plans and spare part stock holdings.
Key Responsibilities:
* Diagnostic and repair skills in automated machinery, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, heavy fixed plant, welding and fabrication, and mechanical expertise with some preferred electrical aptitude.
* Automation experience and strong mechanical background working on industrial equipment with electrical aptitude.
* Trade qualification, minimum 5 years relevant working experience as a service technician, Certificate 3 in Engineering - Mechanical Trade, and completed an apprenticeship.
* A current manual driver's license and forklift license.
* Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills, good written and verbal communication skills, strong focus and commitment to safety, self-motivated, and able to work in a strong team environment.
