Job Title: Senior Processing Leader
About the Role:
This is an exceptional opportunity to join our organization as a Senior Processing Leader where you will provide foundational leadership and oversight of processing facilities.
* Manage day-to-day operations of process plants and tailings dams, working closely with production superintendents and operations teams.
* Oversee metallurgical performance of the plant, collaborating with metallurgy superintendents and their teams.
* Provide technical oversight, management, and development of tailings facilities, reporting directly to senior tailings engineers.
You will be responsible for:
* Delivery of operational plans, budgets, and performance metrics.
* Metal accounting and reconciliation processes.
* Fostering a culture of continuous improvement, integrating new technologies to maximize value generation.
* Compliance with regulatory requirements associated with operation and development of tailings storage facilities.
* Critical risk management, ensuring safety of all personnel operating in and around processing facilities.
* Safe delivery of maintenance shutdowns, including relines and mill liner management.
* Collaboration with stakeholders to achieve key business outcomes.
About You:
Exceptional technical expertise complemented by diverse operational mining experience will be advantageous. Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills are crucial for building effective relationships with various stakeholders.
* Tertiary qualifications in chemical engineering, metallurgy, or related disciplines.
* Experience in base metal flotation plant operations, similar in size and scale to existing facilities.
* Setup and start-up experience of new processing plants in greenfield environments and brownfield expansions.
* Operational readiness planning and development of processes and procedures for safe and efficient operations.
* Ability to work independently, apply initiatives, and develop solutions.
* Highly developed problem-solving and planning skills.
* Effective leadership skills to support a culture of improvement, measurement, and self-development.
* Experience in managing and operating tailings dams.
