Chandler Macleod is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance operations for our client in Adelaide's northern suburbs.
This is a pivotal leadership role where you'll drive team performance, foster a culture of continuous improvement, and ensure the reliability and safety of plant equipment in a high-performance steel manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
Lead, mentor, and develop a skilled maintenance team, promoting collaboration, accountability, and professional growth.
Champion continuous improvement initiatives to optimize maintenance processes, reduce downtime, and enhance equipment reliability.
Collaborate with operations and engineering teams to align maintenance strategies with production goals.
Oversee troubleshooting and repair of mechanical systems, heavy machinery, and production equipment.
Manage maintenance budgets, spare parts inventory, and vendor relationships.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
Tertiary qualification in mechanical engineering or a related discipline.
Proven experience in maintenance management within steel manufacturing or heavy industry.
Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and rotating equipment.
Demonstrated ability to lead teams and implement process improvements in a high-performance environment.
Familiarity with CMMS and lean maintenance practices.
