Overview
the humelink project is a landmark 500kv transmission line development strengthening australias energy grid and supporting large‐scale renewable integration. we're seeking a quality engineer to join the site delivery team on a fifo 10:4 roster, supporting safe and efficient execution of highvoltage construction activities across regional nsw. this is a hands‐on, site‐focused engineering role ideal for someone who enjoys being on the ground, solving technical challenges, and working closely with construction teams.
Responsibilities
* Support daily electrical construction activities across transmission line and substation interfaces
* Review electrical drawings, schematics, slds, and technical documentation
* Assist with electrical rfis and resolve technical issues on site
* Conduct inspections and verification of hv foundations & earthing conduit and cable installations, electrical fit‐out and equipment placement, hv stringing and conductor interfaces
* Help prepare for testing and commissioning activities
* Work closely with supervisors, subcontractors, and construction teams
* Maintain daily site records, itps/itrs, installation checklists, and qa documentation
* Participate in daily pre‐starts and promote safe electrical work practices
* Contribute to weekly and 3‐week look‐ahead planning, progress reports, and construction tracking
* Ensure electrical works meet australian standards, design requirements, and project quality expectations
Qualifications
* Bachelors degree in electrical engineering (or similar)
* 24 years site‐based experience in electrical, hv, utilities, or infrastructure construction
* Ability to interpret electrical drawings, specifications, schematics, and slds
* Strong understanding of hv installation and electrical safety practices
* Strong problem‐solving and communication skills
* Able to work fifo on a 10/4 roster
