About the Role
Reporting to the Quality Manager, the IQC Manager will lead the Incoming Quality Control function within Techtronic Industries (TTI).
This is a critical leadership role responsible for ensuring all incoming products meet quality standards prior to distribution, while driving continuous improvement across inspection processes, rework operations, and supplier quality performance.
Based at our Kemps Creek Distribution Centre, you will lead a team of engineers and inspectors in a fast-paced, operational environment with high visibility across the business. The role requires strong leadership, technical judgement, and a hands-on approach to managing quality outcomes at the frontline.
You will play a key role in influencing cross-functional stakeholders, strengthening quality processes, and driving data-driven decision making to protect product quality and customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead, develop, and mentor a team of quality engineers and inspectors, providing clear direction across daily operations
* Oversee incoming inspections, spot checks, and rework activities to ensure adherence to quality standards
* Drive root cause analysis and implement effective corrective and preventative actions
* Analyse inspection data and deliver reporting on quality trends, risks, and performance metrics
* Plan and allocate labour and resources to support efficient inspection and rework execution
* Develop and continuously improve rework processes to ensure timely, consistent outcomes
* Identify opportunities for process improvement, productivity gains, and cost reduction
* Ensure compliance with OH&S, regulatory, and internal quality requirements
* Support supplier quality improvements and drive accountability across the supply chain
About You
You are a hands-on quality leader who is comfortable operating at the frontline while driving outcomes across teams and stakeholders.
* Hands-on approach with strong floor presence and operational engagement
* Ability to operate effectively in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
* Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyse, interpret, and act on quality data
* Strong problem-solving capability with sound technical judgement
Skills and Experience
* Tertiary qualification in Engineering (Mechanical, Electronics, Manufacturing, Industrial or similar)
* Min 3yrs leadership or supervisory experience within quality or technical environments
* Strong knowledge of:
* Quality management systems (e.g. ISO standards, QA frameworks)
* Experience within consumer products, manufacturing, or distribution environments
* Incoming quality control and/or supplier quality
* Root cause analysis and structured problem solving
* Managing inspection and rework operations
