Location
The new centre will cater to up to 120 children from birth to 5 years, located at 23-33 Wruck Crescent, Albany Creek, Queensland. Operational hours: 6:30am to 6:30pm.
Your Role
As Centre Cook, you'll play a key role in creating a nurturing, healthy environment through food. You will:
* Plan and prepare nutritious, seasonal meals and snacks
* Maintain a safe, clean, and well-stocked kitchen
* Order supplies and manage inventory
* Communicate with educators to meet dietary needs
* Support the centre's mealtime routines and assist where needed
* Be open to learning more about nutrition for different age groups, especially infants
* Hours 6:15am to 2:15pm Monday to Friday (open to discuss alternative hours for the right candidate)
Qualifications
You have:
* A Food Safety Handling Certificate
* Strong knowledge of dietary requirements and allergy management
* A practical understanding of food budgeting and planning
* Cooking experience in early childhood settings (desirable but not essential)
* A commitment to supporting children's growth, development, and wellbeing through food
