Job Title

Grade 3 Physiotherapist – Rehabilitation – Maternity Leave role – 12 months – Part time, 20 hours per week

Are you a Senior Physiotherapist looking to join a dynamic interdisciplinary rehabilitation team? Do you have a passion for managing a varied fast‑stream rehabilitation case load? This is the job for you.

In This Role

- Lead the provision of high‑quality physiotherapy assessment and intervention, to maximise functional independence, safety and quality of life of our patients
- Assist the physiotherapy team leader and allied health manager with department operational management

Additional Responsibilities Include

- Clinical leadership for the inpatient physio team
- Supervision/mentoring of Grade 2/Grade 1 physios and students
- Lead programme development and quality improvement activities within the Allied Health Department
- Coordinate and lead professional development/training
- Provide leadership to staff to ensure a positive and harmonious working environment within the team
- Act as a valued member of an inter‑disciplinary team, including nursing, allied health and medical personnel
- Participate in case and family conferences and actively contribute to team processes and practices
- Collaborate with external partners to ensure patients receive high‑quality care across the health care continuum
- Maintain professional and constructive relationships with VMO partners, using a customer‑service mindset to enable high‑quality patient outcomes

At Dorset Rehabilitation, we offer an extensive range of inpatient and outpatient services in various specialties including orthopaedics, neurology, cardiac, falls and balance, hydrotherapy, rehab in the home and pain management. We have a strong commitment to evidence‑based practice and excellence in the delivery of care to our patients.

Selection Criteria

- Bachelor in Physiotherapy or equivalent
- Current AHPRA registration
- Minimum 7 years clinical experience
- Excellent clinical practice skills in rehabilitation assessment and intervention
- Experience in neurological and orthopaedic rehabilitation
- Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent organisation and time‑management skills
- Interest in developing pain management skills
- Commitment to interdisciplinary teamwork
