Job Description
Process and manage accounts receivable transactions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
Conducting credit checks for potential new accounts
Monitor outstanding payments and follow up on overdue accounts by phone and email.
Maintain accurate records and update account information as needed.
Collaborate with internal departments to resolve billing and payment issues.
Assist in month-end reporting related to accounts receivable.
Provide exceptional customer service to clients regarding account queries.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Accounts Receivable Officer should have:
Previous experience in an accounts receivable or similar role.
Solid knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a busy environment.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
Formal qualifications in accounting or finance are advantageous.
