The Role
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Network Administrator to join our College to manage the College network environment end‐to‐end, with a strong focus on reliability, cybersecurity and system administration.
Responsibilities and key functions include:
* Managing and maintaining the site's network infrastructure.
* Overseeing risk management including data security, system backups and disaster recovery protocols.
* Contributing to system enhancements by researching and identifying appropriate IT resources.
* Configuring and implementing hardware, Windows servers, virtual machines and improving the cyber security footprint of the College network.
* Developing strategies for implementing new and emerging technology.
* Liaising with internal teams and external suppliers to resolve network administration challenges and maintain a reliable and secure IT environment.
* Providing technical support and training to all users, including BYOD, and advising staff on technical issues associated with the network system.
Qualifications and Experience
The successful applicant should have the technical knowledge and skills to manage a range of hardware, software and other information technology resources. This includes:
* Experience configuring and managing Windows servers and creating and managing virtual machines.
* Working knowledge of a range of operating systems across multiple devices such as Windows, macOS, Android, iOS and Linux.
* Relevant experience with the Departments' Standard Operating Environment (SOE).
* Strong analytical, conceptual and problem‐solving skills.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work autonomously.
