About Our School
As the only co-educational Catholic secondary college on the scenic Redlands Coast (Quandamooka Country), Carmel College provides education for approximately 1150 students from Years 7 to 12. Established in 1993, the College has a strong tradition of encouraging students to "Let their light shine" in and for the community through a Marist and Carmelite charism. About the Opportunity
Carmel College is seeking two dynamic and dedicated Secondary Teachers with expertise in Religious Education, English and Humanities. Responsibilities
* Creating a nurturing and ordered learning environment that is learner‐centred, supportive, cooperative, and aligned with relevant curriculum policies, documents and practices.
* Collaboratively developing and implementing quality curriculum programs and appropriate pedagogy; evaluating their effectiveness; assessing and reporting student progress and learning outcomes; and reporting these to students, parents and the community.
* Working collaboratively with the leadership team, teachers and other staff members in contributing to the professional life of the school and fostering a positive school culture.
* Proactively engaging with professional learning to enhance student learning outcomes.
* Establishing positive relationships in the pastoral care of students and supporting their spiritual and moral development.
* Ensuring that the teachings and values of the Catholic Church form a foundation for learning and teaching.
