Overview
We offer a part‑time, permanent position with hourly remuneration of $58.83‑$60.76, superannuation, salary packaging and rural incentives. The role is based at Armidale Hospital.
About The Role
Your primary responsibilities include:
* Providing advanced clinical care, leadership and expertise for complex cases of older patients in acute inpatient settings.
* Delivering the first face‑to‑face assessment within one working day of referral.
* Working with families, carers and service providers to develop safe discharge plans.
* Managing patients exhibiting challenging behaviours and advocating for older patients.
* Guiding and supporting colleagues to enhance clinical outcomes.
The position is a transitional role offering structured supervision, mentorship, a tailored development plan and education pathways. A temporary RN contract of up to two years may be offered to complete the required postgraduate study if you do not yet hold the CNS 2 qualification.
Qualifications
* Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
* Commitment to completing relevant postgraduate qualifications within 24 months of commencing the role.
* Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
* Strong communication, assessment and organisational skills.
