Duties and Responsibilities
* Maintains all trash receptacles in outdoor public areas, ensuring the area is clean and free of litter.
* Cleans outside public areas, sidewalks, and parking areas; picks up leaves and litter.
* Trims and prunes tree branches.
* Operates and maintains power lawn mower, sweepers, chainsaws, trimmers, scrubbers, power washers, etc., ensuring the equipment is clean and in proper working condition.
* Ensures all plant beds are free of weeds, dead flowers, etc.
* Operates snow removal equipment, if necessary.
* Maintains water features.
* Applies fertilizers and chemicals as instructed.
* Maintains and repairs irrigation systems.
* May assist the Wastewater Treatment Operators with repairs and maintenance.
* Maintains spray fields and associated equipment.
* Assists other departments when needed.
* Adheres to company, departmental and safety policies and procedures and OSHA regulations.
* Maintains superior communication via email and pass downs to entire department.
* Performs all other duties as assigned.
Qualification Requirements
* High school diploma or GED preferred.
* Grounds maintenance experience required.
* Must be at least 18 years of age.
