gforce Employment + Recruitment has a fantastic opportunity to commence a full-time Carpentry Apprenticeship in 2026. This role will mainly be in the Southwest, Great Ocean Road and Geelong regions; however, you should be prepared to move around as the work requires. You will need a car and licence to secure the role. This is an prospect to commence your first-year carpentry apprenticeship and be mentored by other tradesmen and apprentices who are onsite.
As an apprentice carpenter you will have the opportunity to learn all aspects of the carpentry trade through a four-year apprenticeship. You will be working with a great crew of people and other apprentices who take pride in the work they do.
You will be required to:
- Carry out measurements and calculations.
- Carry out general demolition of minor building structures
- Install flooring systems
- Work safely at heights.
- Construct frames / structures.
- Apply WHS requirements, policies and procedures in the construction industry
- Identify construction work hazards and select risk control strategies
- Use of power tools.
- Building basic frames.
- Basic carpentry.
About You:
- Reliable
- An ability to undertake manual/physical work
- Reliable and self-motivated
- Must have ability to attend Geelong and surrounding areas.
- Current driver's license and car required
- Pre-employment medical required successful candidate.
What to expect:
You will work a 38-hour week (including TAFE training). Some overtime may be required.
