Role
A warehouse-based Production Officer based at our Mackay branch to complete manufacturing, testing, inspections, and warehouse operational work. Support will be involved in testing, repairing and manufacturing wire rope assemblies, synthetic ropes, chain sling assemblies, and height safety equipment in line with quality assurance guidelines. Ongoing in‐house training & support will be provided. Warehouse duties include receiving, picking, packing and dispatch of products.
Responsibilities
* Operation of Bunzl's test machines, presses, and other machinery. Training and sign‐off will be provided.
* Warehouse duties, including but not limited to forklift operation.
* Regular communication with line manager and internal staff.
* Ensuring accurate documentation and records.
Qualifications
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Strong literacy and numeracy ability.
* Team player, punctual, reliable, attention to detail, able to work autonomously when required.
* Valid driver's licence (preferred).
* Welding/Oxy/Brazing knowledge or experience (training will be offered if needed).
* Forklift (LF) licence not required but desire to obtain it is necessary.
* Press machinery knowledge or experience would be an advantage.
* Wire rope winder knowledge or experience would be an advantage.
* Lifting & Rigging industry knowledge or experience would be an advantage.
* Warehousing and distribution knowledge/experience would be an advantage.
