About the Role
Reporting directly to the Accountant, this Accounts Officer (Accounts Receivable) role is more than your typical accounts role. We're looking for someone with a positive, caring attitude who is eager to learn and contribute in a collaborative environment. As an Accounts Officer at Capecare, no two days are ever the same! This is a dynamic role that will see you engaging with new and exiting resident's, their families and assisting with any fee or accounts queries. You will also provide financial support to our Community Team and their 300 + Community clients and work closely with our Admissions Team for updates on all new residential and respite (short-term) clients.
This role will suit an empathetic, caring and person‐centred individual who thrives on precision, enjoys working across various financial platforms, and is keen to make a real impact in a values‐driven organisation.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage accounts receivable and related financial tasks.
* Support the finance team in day‐to‐day operations.
* Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of financial processes.
About You
* Have proven experience in accounts receivable or a similar finance position.
* Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
* Possess strong skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and modern financial software.
* Be a confident communicator, both written and verbal.
* Work well as part of a supportive team and independently.
* Show a genuine alignment with Capecare's values and mission.
* Experience in residential aged care or familiarity with government funding frameworks is highly regarded, but not essential.
