HR Manager – Regional Queensland Council
The Opportunity
This is a broad and influential leadership opportunity that offers both strategic depth and operational variety. You will shape organisational culture, lead workforce planning and development, and support executive decision-making through high-level people strategy, industrial relations, and organisational design.

About You
You are a senior HR professional with proven experience at a strategic level, ideally within Local Government or a complex, multi-disciplinary organisation. You bring strong business acumen, excellent communication and influencing skills, and a collaborative leadership style that inspires confidence and performance.
You will bring:
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or a related discipline
- Demonstrated experience leading an HR function at a senior or executive level
- Proven ability to develop and implement HR strategies aligned to organisational goals
- Experience overseeing Payroll operations and compliance
- Exceptional interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
- Strategic thinking with a hands‑on approach to operational delivery
