Position Overview
DSV Air & Sea is seeking to hire a skilled and passionate Freight Forwarder, Import Sea in Melbourne.
Responsibilities
* Arrange and direct the transportation and shipment of import door consignments.
* Compile, complete, and verify required documents in accordance with company policy, procedure, and external regulations.
* Manage import workflows in line with SOPs, customer requirements, and company directives.
* Collaborate with the import team to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely processing of shipments.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and service providers locally and internationally.
* Resolve import and transport issues with stakeholders such as airlines, CTOs, co-loaders, and shipping lines.
* Accurately calculate freight costings, GST, and space requirements.
* Enter data into CargoWise One (CW1) efficiently and correctly.
* Identify and support process improvements and assist the Team Lead/Manager with daily operations and projects.
Qualifications
* Strong communicator with the ability to influence, present clearly, and challenge ideas constructively.
* Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy, meeting deadlines, and following procedures.
* Confident and resilient, with a proactive mindset and a commitment to continuous improvement.
* Skilled in problem-solving, data interpretation, and documentation.
* Proven experience in Freight Forwarding (Air & Sea).
* Proficient in CargoWise One and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel).
