Your role
We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate Senior Compliance Specialist to join our Line 2 Compliance team.
As a Senior Compliance Specialist, you’ll play a key role in further strengthening and embedding our compliance management practices. Reporting to the Senior Leader – Compliance, you will drive the implementation, monitoring and advisory of compliance across our business to ensure our obligations are met under financial services, credit, AML/CTF, and prudential regulations.
You’ll provide expert advice to support the management of our compliance obligations and help us meet the expectations of our customers, regulators, and community.
Specifically, this will include:
* Reviewing and interpreting regulatory obligations to ensure operational compliance.
* Identifying and assessing compliance incidents, advising on remediation and preventing recurrences.
* Preparing regulatory submissions, reports, returns and attestations.
* Maintaining and overseeing compliance breach registers and risk‑related documentation.
* Conducting Privacy, TPRA and other regulatory risk assessments.
* Developing strong relationships with internal stakeholders and regulators.
* Promoting a culture of compliance and integrity across the organisation.
About You
You are an analytical thinker who uses sound judgment to navigate complex regulatory requirements with clarity and confidence. You are a clear and concise communicator who builds trust through collaboration and professionalism.
We also seek:
* Proven compliance experience in the financial services industry.
* Deep knowledge of AFSL/ACL requirements, APRA standards and AML/CTF obligations.
* Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex regulations.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Exceptional attention to detail and time management.
* Ability to influence, advise and constructively challenge stakeholders at all levels.
* A collaborative mindset and proactive approach to problem solving.
A tertiary qualification in compliance, risk, law, or a related field and/or compliance certification is preferred.
