The Bureau is offering an opportunity for dedicated, strategic problem solvers with government policy experience to join the Strategic Policy team within the Strategy and Performance section. Strategic Policy supports the Bureau in its interactions with government processes and key government stakeholders; provides strategic policy advice; undertakes environmental scanning and futures work; and works with technical areas of the Bureau to support strategy across the organisation.
The stream is responsible for developing funding proposals and business cases for the Bureau, engaging with government and Bureau stakeholders in relation to those proposals, and developing documentation required for budget submissions.
The Strategy and Performance section sits in the Strategy Program in Enterprise Services Group. Externally, the Strategic Policy team works closely with related teams in the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water. The team also engages regularly with the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet, the Department of Finance, the Treasury, and other government agencies as required. Internally, Strategic Policy works closely with other Enterprise Services programs and subject matter experts from across the organisation to develop the information required for the proposals.
