The Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Finance Officer to join our team at the Civic Centre in Port Hedland (commencing August 2026). The full-time role is to provide financial administrative services, specifically accurate processing of all accounts payable processes ensuring compliance with Town policies and procedures.
Our ideal applicant will have excellent time management skills, high attention to detail, and a proactive attitude. You will require a high level of writing and verbal communication skills, as well as fast and efficient data entry skills.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage accounts payable processes, including invoices, payments, and credit notes accurately
* Perform reconciliations and resolve payment or invoice issues promptly
* Support reporting, documentation, and ensure compliance with policies and regulations
* Provide customer service and collaborate with the finance team while upholding organisational values
Work Related Requirements
* Tertiary qualification in accounting or related discipline, or demonstrated knowledge of finance and accounting procedures
* Demonstrated experience in a similar role using finance software and data entry
* National Police Clearance
* Current 'C' class driver's licence
* Rights to work in Australia
