About the Role
With a strong pipeline of newly awarded projects across Queensland, BMD is seeking Senior Project Engineers who are open to FIFO and DIDO‐based work across Queensland. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will provide comprehensive onsite engineering services and technical leadership across a range of civil infrastructure scopes. You will play a key role in ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with contractual, design and quality requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead delivery of allocated project scopes from planning through to completion
* Manage quality assurance, procurement and subcontractor performance
* Provide technical leadership and engineering expertise to project teams
* Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, quality and contractual requirements
* Contribute to project planning, programming, forecasting and reporting
* Mentor and develop Project Engineers, Site Engineers and Graduates
* Proactively identify and resolve complex engineering and construction challenges
Skills and Experience
* Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
* Demonstrated experience in a Senior Project Engineer or similar role
* Strong background delivering civil infrastructure projects – DTMR Preferred
* Proven leadership capability with experience mentoring junior engineers
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
* Strong commercial awareness with a value‐for‐money mindset
* Proactive, solutions‐focused approach to complex engineering challenges
* Willingness to work FIFO or DIDO rosters across Queensland
