Techforce is partnering with a well-known client to recruit an experienced Global Logistics & Trade Compliance Manager for a key leadership role based in Brisbane.
This is an excellent opportunity for a senior logistics professional to take ownership of international shipping, trade documentation, and compliance activities across a global operation. Reporting directly into senior leadership, you will be responsible for ensuring all import and export transactions are managed efficiently, compliantly, and in line with business objectives.
You will lead shipping and documentation teams across multiple locations, manage key logistics service providers, and drive consistency, cost control, and process improvement across the broader supply chain function.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage end-to-end international shipping operations across air and sea freight
* Lead and support shipping and documentation teams across head office and global offices
* Oversee freight forwarders, shipping lines, customs brokers, and third‐party logistics providers
* Negotiate freight rates, contracts, and service agreements to achieve cost and service outcomes
* Ensure timely and accurate preparation of trade documentation, including Bills of Lading, commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, licences, permits, and LC documentation
* Ensure compliance with customs regulations, Incoterms, trade laws, sanctions, and internal policies
* Monitor shipping performance, resolve delays and claims issues, and drive KPI reporting
* Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes, and documentation workflows, including within ERP platforms
About You
* 8+ years' experience in international logistics, shipping, and trade documentation
* Previous leadership experience managing teams in a multi‐site or international environment
* Strong working knowledge of Incoterms, UCP 600, customs requirements, and trade compliance
* Proven ability to manage external logistics providers and build effective stakeholder relationships
* Commercially focused with strong negotiation and problem‐solving capability
* ERP systems experience required; Odoo exposure will be highly regarded
