Bene Aged Care is currently seeking a reliable, hands‐on, and experienced Maintenance Officer (Handyman) to join our team on a full‐time basis, primarily based at our St Agnes Residential Facility, with the flexibility to work across other Bene Aged Care sites as required.

About Your Role
As a Maintenance Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring our facilities remain safe, functional, and welcoming for residents, visitors, and staff.
Key Responsibilities Include
* Carrying out general handyman duties, repairs, and maintenance across buildings and equipment
* Performing painting, patching, minor carpentry, and general upkeep tasks
* Conducting preventative maintenance in line with organisational policies and procedures
* Accessing Manad on Bene's network to manage and respond to maintenance requests
* Identifying maintenance issues and escalating works requiring external contractors
* Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities completed
* Supporting maintenance requirements across multiple Bene Aged Care sites as needed
* Participating in on‐call duties as required
What You'll Bring
* Demonstrated experience in general building maintenance, repairs, and handyman work
* Ability to undertake painting, minor repairs, and maintenance of equipment and facilities
* Current National Police Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
* Current Driver's Licence
* Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
* Willingness to travel and work across different Bene Aged Care sites when required
Desirable
* Previous experience in an aged care, healthcare, or community services environment
* Test and Tag Certificate
* Trade qualification or relevant maintenance experience
* Italian language skills (advantageous but not essential)
