Associate / Senior Electrical, Instrumentation & Control (EI&C) Engineer
We are looking for a talented and driven Associate/Senior Electrical, Instrumentation and Control Engineer to join our dynamic Water Infrastructure Team in Brisbane. This key role delivers cutting‐edge water infrastructure projects across Australia and New Zealand.
Responsibilities
* Delivering technically excellent EI&C engineering designs and consultancy services for small to large scale projects in the water industry, encompassing all delivery phases for existing infrastructure and greenfield sites.
* Produce electrical engineering deliverables, calculations including load schedules & cable sizing, drawings (SLDs & schematics), specifications, models, datasheets, reports, and evaluations.
* Utilise prior knowledge of designing control systems, including system architecture, PLCs/RTUs, HMIs, SCADA, instrumentation, industrial network and functional specifications, and comfortable designing, configuring, and integrating these systems.
* In‐depth knowledge of Australian electrical design standards including AS/NZS3000.
* Assist with driving business development through supporting bids, identifying opportunities, and supporting the wider team for successful delivery.
* Develop and maintain strong key client relationships – acting as a trusted adviser to a select group of Jacobs key clients across the public and private sectors.
* Mentor and facilitate the technical development of junior engineers.
* Promote a safety culture within the organisation and with our clients.
Qualifications
* Tertiary qualifications in Electrical and Control Engineering.
* Registration as a Professional Engineer QLD, or the ability to successfully apply within 6 months of appointment to the role.
* Significant EI&C engineering experience with water infrastructure projects including water treatment, wastewater treatment, networks, pump stations and/or bulk transfer water systems.
* Prior consulting experience, or experience demonstrating an ability to work within a challenging consulting environment.
* Demonstrated experience in technical quality assurance with development of high‐quality deliverables, maintaining calculation & decision records.
* Excellent presentation and engineering report writing skills.
* Strong communication skills with a proven ability to forge strong, trusted relationships with clients and communicate technical concepts clearly and concisely, both with clients and the internal team.
* Proactive and motivated, with strong self‐management skills.
* A team player, focused on the development and promotion of a high‐functioning team.
