SALARY: $ 100,738 - 115,439 p.a.+ Super

Work Type: Temporary Full Time -Up to 3 Years

Location: Oran Park Administration Building - 70 Central Avenue, Oran Park 2570

A dynamic and exciting opportunity to join the IT Strategy & Portfolio team to drive business analysis activities within projects and programs within the Digital Technology & Innovation branch. The Business Analyst will take ownership of and lead the business analysis activities within streams of work across programs/projects within the branch. You will engage and collaborate with a diverse set of business stakeholders to ensure that their objectives are understood through proactive engagement, elicitation and analysis.

Exciting projects including introducing a Customer and Stakeholder Relationship Management System and projects relating to improvements to other Council Business Systems outlined in our Digital Innovation Strategy are awaiting kick-off for most suitable candidate. Essential

- Demonstrated experience and strengths in business analysis, requirements gathering and technical skills to communicate effectively with a wide range of internal customers.
- Demonstrated ability to manage technology solution/business improvement projects and work in a multiskilled, multi-tasking environment to meet agreed organisational priorities and deadlines.
- Demonstrated commitment to success in providing effective solutions to business needs.
- Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal skills, demonstrated ability to think strategically, critically, logically and innovatively.
- Proven ability to show initiative with strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a collaborative and multifaceted team.
- Excellent relationship management skills, a demonstrated ability to proactively and effectively provide high quality customer service and stakeholder management.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent level of knowledge gained through a combination of education, training and/or experience in a similar role.
- Relevant Industry Certification (e.g. IIBA CCBA, PRINCE2) are highly desirable.
- Experience in toolsets including word processors, spreadsheets, drawing/diagramming tools (e.g. Visio), presentation tools (e.g. PowerPoint) and project management tools (e.g. MS Project).
- Experience in establishing and managing multiple projects.
- Experience with ERP systems in a council/government setting.
- Previous experience in Local government or a similar workplace.
