Seeking D365 FinOps Functional Consultant / Functional Analyst
for permanent end user role based in Melbourne (Hybrid)
Responsibilities
Functional Expertise & System Configuration
Lead the design and implementation of solutions that align with the organisation's strategic objectives.
Provide expert-level functional knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations and its core modules.
Translate complex business needs into clear functional specifications and solution architectures.
Manage and configure system elements such as workflows, forms, entities, business rules, and security roles.
Business Process Optimisation
Lead cross-functional teams to co-design and deliver process improvements enabled by technology.
Identify opportunities to streamline, automate, or standardise business processes, ensuring platform-driven value creation.
Project Delivery & Business-as-Usual (BAU) Support
Take ownership of planning and delivering initiatives that impact multiple business areas.
Prepare documentation to support strategic decision-making and guide project execution.
Estimate effort and resources for new features, enhancements, and configuration changes.
Stakeholder Engagement & Functional Support
Serve as a subject matter expert for executives, management, and governance groups, offering advice on system capabilities, enhancements, and strategic planning.
Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure solutions meet requirements.
Provide timely and expert-level support to end users, resolving functional issues and queries.
Proven ability to operate effectively at a senior level, demonstrating sound judgment, strategic thinking, and contributing to digital capability development.
Experience leading stakeholder consultations or managing change initiatives that span multiple departments or have a broad organisational impact.
3–7 years of hands-on experience as a Microsoft Dynamics 365 Functional Consultant.
Advanced skills in configuring Dynamics 365 applications, including workflows, business rules, dashboards, and forms.
Demonstrated capability to evaluate and optimise end-to-end business processes across areas such as customer service, case management, finance, project delivery, or fundraising.
Ability to accurately estimate scope, resource requirements, and dependencies for proposed system changes and enhancements.
