Overview
The Senior Supply Chain Business Partner will lead a demand planning team while partnering closely with commercial and operational stakeholders to balance supply and demand across a defined portfolio in Sydney.
Responsibilities
* Lead and develop a team of planners and coordinators, driving performance, accountability and capability uplift.
* Partner with Marketing and Commercial teams to align demand forecasts with business activity.
* Lead monthly demand consensus and S&OP meetings, managing variances, risks and opportunities.
* Analyse demand trends and drivers to improve forecast accuracy and planning outcomes.
* Work closely with regional supply teams and global stakeholders to ensure alignment on supply plans.
* Monitor inventory levels, safety stock and forward coverage to ensure optimal performance.
* Manage backorders and communicate impacts clearly across Customer Service and Sales teams.
* Optimise inventory, including managing excess and obsolete stock and improvement plans.
* Provide regular reporting on key supply chain metrics (forecast accuracy, DIO, OTIF, backorders).
* Collaborate across logistics, distribution and customer service to ensure execution of plans.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in supply chain planning (demand and/or supply planning).
* Previous people leadership experience, ideally within planning.
* Strong experience leading or participating in S&OP processes.
* High levels of data analysis capability and ability to interpret planning metrics.
* Confidence partnering with and influencing stakeholders across commercial and operational teams.
* The ability to challenge constructively and navigate complex or competing priorities.
* Strong organisational and communication skills.
* A proactive, solutions‐focused mindset.
* Experience within healthcare or regulated environments, and exposure to SAP/JDE systems is highly regarded but not essential.
