The Role
Reporting directly to the Site Leader, this is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing end-to-end manufacturing operations across production, packing, and site operations. As a production manager, you will lead teams, drive operational performance, and ensure the safe, efficient, and cost-effective delivery of production targets within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
* Lead site production operations, ensuring production plans are achieved while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.
* Drive performance across key operational metrics including output, yield, waste reduction, labour utilisation, and plant efficiency.
* Provide visible leadership across the site, developing team capability, accountability, engagement, and performance.
* Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, cost optimisation, operational excellence, and process improvement.
* Manage operational budgets and labour costs while identifying opportunities to improve commercial performance.
* Ensure compliance with food safety, quality, and regulatory requirements, including HACCP and relevant industry standards.
Your Background
* Proven experience in a Production Manager, Manufacturing Manager, Operations Manager, or similar leadership role within food manufacturing, FMCG, milling, processing, or industrial manufacturing environments.
* Demonstrated success leading large operational teams within a fast-paced production environment.
* Strong leadership capability with experience developing teams, driving engagement, and building high-performance cultures.
* Experience managing operational KPIs, budgets, labour planning, and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Strong understanding of food safety, quality systems, and manufacturing best practices.
* Exposure to ERP systems such as SAP and experience using operational data to drive decision-making.
* Relevant tertiary qualification in Engineering, Manufacturing, Food Science, Business, or a related discipline highly regarded.
