Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for providing high-quality support services to clients with complex trauma and behavioral needs. This may include:
* Assisting with daily living tasks such as personal care, medication management, and meal preparation;
* Providing emotional support and helping clients to develop coping strategies and manage their behaviors;
* Supporting clients to access community resources and activities that promote social inclusion and participation;
* Maintaining accurate records and reporting any changes or concerns to the supervisor.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A degree in a relevant field (e.g., social work, psychology) or significant experience working with people with disabilities;
* Experience working with people with complex trauma and behavioral needs;
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
* Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of clients;
* Valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle;
* CPR/First Aid certification;
* Background check clearance;
