Apply now Job no: JR****** Work type: Permanent Location: Wollongong Private Hospital Categories: Nursing - Registered The Opportunity We are seeking Registered Midwives to join our Special Care Nursery team at Wollongong Private Hospital.
You will be joining our Maternity Services comprising of 4 birth suites, 25 bed antenatal/postnatal ward and 7 bay Special Care Nursery.
In this role you will be delivering a higher standard of support and care for our neonates from 34 weeks' gestation.
You will also be providing support and care for the mothers and their families.
You will be responsible for assessing, planning, coordinating, and evaluating the care delivery needs of each patient.
Reporting to the Midwife Unit Manager, you will perform duties with the support and guidance of the Department Manager, Clinical Nurse, Team and Shift Leaders to ensure a high level of quality patient care is delivered in line with the care values and strategic direction of the Hospital and Ramsay Health Care.
Skills and Experience Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Midwife Minimum three (3) years' experience working as a midwife post registration.
Previous experience in Special Care Nursery Demonstrated proficiency in Bubble CPAP and management Knowledge of current legislation and policies relating to Midwifery practice in the workplace Demonstrated effective interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Flexibility to work across a 7-day rotating roster.
Remuneration On offer is base hourly rate of $***** - $***** + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances.
