An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join a leading Australian food manufacturing business based in Tullamarine.
Operating within a fast-paced FMCG environment, this role offers long-term stability, strong earning potential and the opportunity to work within a highly regarded maintenance team.
This position is ideally suited to a fitter with strong breakdown and preventative maintenance experience within food manufacturing or automated production environments.
Shift Details
* Permanent Night Shift
* Sunday, Monday & Tuesday
* 7:00pm – 7:00am (12‐hour shifts)

Key Responsibilities
* Attend and resolve mechanical breakdowns across production equipment
* Perform preventative maintenance in line with maintenance schedules
* Maintain and repair plant equipment, conveyors, processing machinery and services
* Identify opportunities to improve plant reliability and minimise downtime
* Support GMP, HACCP and site hygiene standards
* Ensure all maintenance activities comply with site safety procedures and regulations
* Assist with spare parts management and maintenance reporting
About You
* Trade qualified Maintenance Fitter or similar mechanical trade
* Previous experience within FMCG, food manufacturing, baking or milling environments
* Strong breakdown and preventative maintenance experience
* Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics and automated machinery
* Welding capability (MIG, TIG or ARC) highly regarded
* Exposure to Lean Manufacturing or 5S principles advantageous
* Strong fault‐finding and troubleshooting skills
* Confined Space and Working at Heights tickets advantageous
* Able to work autonomously within a night shift environment
