We're currently partnering with a well-established organisation within the engineering and infrastructure sector to appoint a HR Generalist/Coordinator into their collaborative People & Culture team. This role offers genuine long-term development opportunities, with the business keen to invest in someone looking to grow their career into a future HR Advisor/Consultant and eventually HRBP pathway.
This is a genuinely broad role with exposure across the full employee lifecycle, supporting both operational HR activities and wider people initiatives across a national workforce. The position would suit someone who enjoys being hands-on, thrives in a fast-paced environment and is looking to continue building their generalist HR capability within a stable and growing business.
Key Responsibilities
* Supporting employees and managers with day-to-day HR queries and processes
* Assisting with end-to-end recruitment coordination including advertising, interview scheduling, reference checks and offer preparation
* Preparing employment contracts, promotions, resignations and other employee documentation
* Coordinating onboarding activities and supporting the new starter experience
* Managing probation review processes and stakeholder follow-up
* Supporting employee engagement initiatives and benefits programmes
* Coordinating visa applications with external immigration providers
* Assisting with HR reporting, workforce data and diversity reporting
* Conducting exit interviews and identifying key themes and trends
* Supporting policy reviews and ensuring alignment with current legislation
* Assisting with annual performance review processes, training coordination and wider HR projects
* Maintaining HR systems, records and internal documentation
About You
* Previous experience within a HR Coordinator or HR Generalist position
* Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related discipline
* Exposure to Australian employment legislation and HR best practice
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
* High attention to detail and strong administrative capability
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
* A proactive and solutions-focused mindset
* Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
