We are seeking an experienced General Counsel to establish and lead the legal function within Anaman in a part-time capacity (3–4 days per week).
This is a key leadership role supporting the business across contracts, risk, compliance and governance in a fast-paced, project-driven environment. You will work closely with senior leadership to provide pragmatic and commercially focused legal advice, while shaping a scalable legal framework for a growing business.

About the Role
* Provide strategic and day to day legal advice across the business
* Draft, review and negotiate commercial, client and supplier contracts
* Support major projects, tenders and commercial negotiations
* Establish and maintain legal, risk and compliance frameworks
* Advise on disputes, risk management and regulatory obligations
* Build fit for purpose governance, policies and processes
* Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders, balancing legal risk with commercial outcomes
About You
You are a commercially astute legal professional who is comfortable operating in a standalone capacity and influencing at a senior level.
* Admission as a lawyer in Queensland with an unrestricted practising certificate
* 7 or more years post-qualification experience in-house or large firm
* Strong experience in commercial, construction, infrastructure or resources environments
* Proven ability to partner with senior stakeholders
* Pragmatic, solutions focused approach
* Comfortable balancing strategic input with hands on delivery
