Companion Carer Opportunity
We are seeking a reliable and passionate Companion Carer to join our team in Wagga Wagga.
* You will be working within a person-centred, enabling environment that respects the rights and needs of each client.
* You will assist clients with various gardening and yard maintenance supports.
* You will assist clients with daily errands, companionship and support.
* You will provide support with academic, social or recreational activities.
* You will prepare food if needed.
* You will observe, care and report any changes in the health and wellbeing of the client.
* You will respond to emergency situations.
This role requires excellent verbal and written communication skills. You will also need to have a willingness to learn, develop and take on new challenges. The successful candidate will possess current National Police Check, First Aid & CPR certificates, and NDIS Worker Screening & Orientation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist clients with gardening and yard maintenance tasks.
* Support clients with daily errands, companionship and emotional well-being.
* Provide assistance with meal preparation and other domestic duties.
* Maintain accurate records of client interactions and progress.
* Participate in regular training and professional development opportunities.
Requirements:
* Reliable and trustworthy individual with strong interpersonal skills.
* Able to work independently and as part of a team.
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
* Current first aid and CPR certification.
* Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
