About The Role
As Night Manager, you will manage and oversee all hotel operations in the absence of the General Manager or designate during nights. The principal responsibility is the safety and security of guests and colleagues and ensuring the accurate and timely completion of the night audit function during the hours of 11 pm – 7 am.
Your day to day
* Manage and oversee all hotel operations overnight.
* Train colleagues in quality and service standards, ensuring they are armed with the necessary tools and empowered to execute their roles. Continue to develop Managers and Frontline colleagues.
* Lead by example by consistently upholding and embodying InterContinental brand standards in all daily operations.
* Ensure guests receive prompt, professional service and personal recognition for a seamless front‐and‐back‐of‐house experience.
* Support front‐office staff to provide guests with prompt and professional attention.
* Be the first responder—know how to react to emergency situations promptly and calmly.
* Ensure all credit and financial transactions are handled securely. Maintain cashier float and an accurate daily cash report; prepare audit balances and prepare all work for audit orderly.
* Oversee night audit and preparation of daily financial reports, working closely with finance to maintain a high level of detail overnight.
* Adhere to local regulations on health, safety, or other compliance requirements, as well as brand standards and local policies.
* Demonstrate InterContinental "One Step Ahead" service behaviours: create confidence, encourage success, and make it happen; align with True Hospitality service skills expectations.
* Champion IHG Rewards Club and ensure the team is 100 % compliant in training and delivery of standards.
What We Need From You
* Full unrestricted work rights (sponsorship is not available).
* Bachelor's degree or higher education qualification in Hotel Administration, Business Administration, or equivalent.
* Four years of guest service/hotel experience with two years in a management capacity, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Must speak the local language.
* Valid Responsible Service of Alcohol and First Aid certificates are required.
