Responsibilities
Email Design & Creative Execution
- Concept, design, and build premium, high-impact EDMs that reflect Salt Shift’s visual identity and tone.
- Create clean, scroll-stopping layouts with solid hierarchy, clear messaging, and conversion-focused structure.
- Produce design assets for email campaigns - banners, graphics, product features, lifestyle imagery, and launch creatives.
- Maintain consistency across all visual elements to ensure every send looks polished, modern, and unmistakably on-brand.
- Develop reusable templates and modular design blocks to streamline campaign builds and speed up production.
Copywriting for Email & SMS
- Write sharp, concise, high-performing copy that captures the Salt Shift voice - confident, clean, and lifestyle-driven.
- Craft subject lines, preheaders, CTAs, and body copy that increase opens, clicks, and engagement.
- Translate campaign concepts, product launches, and brand messaging into compelling storytelling that drives action.
- Ensure copy remains consistent across email, SMS, and supporting assets.
Campaign Execution
- Take campaign briefs and turn them into complete, polished emails - design, copy, formatting, and layout.
- Build assets and messaging for product drops, promos, seasonal launches, restocks, and brand moments.
- Collaborate with marketing to ensure every send aligns with campaign direction, timelines, and performance goals.
- Review campaigns before send to ensure flawless design, accurate copy, correct links, brand alignment, and technical cleanliness.
Brand & Creative Integration
- Work closely with the content, marketing, and performance teams to ensure design and copy align seamlessly across every channel.
- Maintain and evolve the brand’s visual and written style across email deliverables.
- Adapt designs for different platforms when needed - social, landing pages, or collateral - ensuring cross-channel synergy.
- Quality, Consistency & Continuous Improvement
- Refine creative based on testing, feedback, and performance insights (handled by the team, implemented by you).
- Keep up to date with best practices in email design, mobile layout, visual hierarchy, and conversion-focused creative.
- Maintain a high standard for quality - every send should feel intentional, premium, and on-brand.
Skills & Experience
Essential
- 3+ years’ experience in email design, digital design, or creative roles within eCommerce or lifestyle brands.
- Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) and Figma or Canva.
- Proven experience designing premium EDMs with modern layout, strong hierarchy, and high visual standards.
- Strong copywriting ability - clear, concise, on-brand, and conversion-focused.
- Ability to translate campaign concepts, product launches, and brand narratives into compelling visual stories.
- Excellent understanding of mobile-first design, visual UX for email, and clean formatting.
- Strong attention to detail - pixel-perfect design, error-free copy, consistent brand execution.
- Comfort working in fast-paced, high-output environments with tight turnarounds.
Preferred
- Experience working with Klaviyo or similar email platforms
- Familiarity with Shopify, landing page design, or simple section builds.
- Experience creating assets for paid ads, social content, or basic motion graphics.
- Packaging Design experience
