About the Role
We're seeking an experienced Underground Mechanical Coordinator to join our client based on a mine site 40km outside of Moranbah and 160 kilometres west of Mackay. In this fast-paced mining environment, you will be responsible for overseeing underground mechanical maintenance activities, ensuring equipment reliability, safety compliance, and effective coordination of resources. You will work closely with site teams to support continuous improvement and operational efficiency while at times working alone.
Key Responsibilities
* Coordinate and supervise underground mechanical maintenance activities
* Ensure safe and compliant operation of underground equipment and infrastructure
* Support planning and execution of maintenance schedules
* Provide leadership and guidance to underground crews
* Monitor equipment performance and drive improvements
* Maintain strong communication with operations and maintenance teams
About You
* Minimum 5 years underground mining experience
* Previously authorised to work unaccompanied underground
* Mechanical trade qualification or Mechanical Engineering degree
* Demonstrated supervisory competencies
* Proven experience working with underground mining equipment and infrastructure
* Strong commitment to safety and team leadership
