About the Role As a Boilermaker, you will show up each day with a sense of enthusiasm and commitment to helping ensure all work is completed safely and to the highest quality.
Responsibilities Perform fabrication duties and welding techniques including GMAW, FCAW with the ability to pass an AS****** weld test.
Accurately read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Ensure measurements and components meet required tolerances.
Undertake materials handling, processing and associated tasks with a focus on safety, quality, productivity, cost, continuous improvement, delivery and environmental concerns.
Participate in required site and training service provider learning, training and skill development.
Ensure compliance to ISO**** and all Bradken Quality policies and procedures and participate in associated Quality audits.
Assist and work with maintenance and engineering personnel as required.
Coach and mentor apprentices and junior personnel as required.
Undertake other tasks such as forklift operation, profile cutting and materials management within capabilities and training when directed by the Workshop Supervisor or other site management.
Qualifications Recognised Trade Qualification essential (Engineering Fabrication preferred).
Previous experience in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment.
Forklift licence (desirable).
Welding certified to required standard (e.g., AS ******).
Certified to Work at Heights (desirable).
Certified to work in Confined Space (desirable).
Knowledge of safe working procedures.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
This role is based at our Mt. Thorley, NSW site and we have casual and permanent opportunities both for day and afternoon shift work.
