About Our School
Carmel College is the only co‐educational Catholic secondary college on the scenic Redlands Coast (Quandamooka Country). It educates approximately 1,150 students from Years 7 to 12 and has a strong tradition of encouraging students to "Let their light shine" in and for the community, guided by a Marist and Carmelite charism. All members of the college community are valued, respected and encouraged to maximise their opportunities.

About The Opportunity
Carmel College seeks a dynamic and dedicated Secondary Teacher (Science/Mathematics) to deliver high‐quality learning across Junior and Senior years. The successful applicant will contribute to engaging and rigorous Science and Mathematics programmes, support the College's mission and values, and actively participate in curriculum planning, pastoral care and co‐curricular life.
In This Position You Will Be Responsible For
* Creating a nurturing and ordered learning environment that is learner‐centred, supportive, cooperative, and aligned with relevant curriculum policies, documents and practices
* Collaboratively developing and implementing quality curriculum programmes and appropriate pedagogy; evaluating their effectiveness; assessing and reporting student progress and learning outcomes; and reporting these to students, parents, and the community
* Working collaboratively with the leadership team, teachers and other staff members to contribute to the professional life of the school and foster a positive school culture
* Proactively engaging with professional learning to enhance student learning outcomes
* Establishing positive relationships in the pastoral care of students and supporting their spiritual and moral development
* Ensuring that the teachings and values of the Catholic Church form a foundation for learning and teaching

* Creating a supportive, learner‐focused classroom aligned with the Australian Curriculum
* Expertise in designing and delivering effective curriculum programmes in line with the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers
* Commitment to engage with colleagues, students and parents/carers to enrich learning experiences and achieve the best educational outcomes for students
* A passion to support students' spiritual and moral development
