Doltone Hospitality Group

Where heritage meets bold innovation.

For more than 55 years, Doltone House has been at the heart of Sydney’s hospitality and events landscape—where family tradition meets innovation, and where a passion for service creates unforgettable experiences. Today, that legacy has evolved into Doltone Hospitality Group (DHG), a multifaceted powerhouse delivering hospitality excellence across major venues, iconic cultural institutions, immersive dining precincts and international markets.

From the Sydney Opera House to Customs House, Sydney Town Hall, Darling Island and Jones Bay Wharf. From the innovative 3,000sqm Hay St Market to the soon-to-launch restaurant at the redeveloped Sydney Fish Market, DHG continues to redefine experiences across the city’s most visited destinations. Beyond Australia, our Ovation brand brings world-class hospitality to stadiums, hospitals, schools and corporate environments across New Zealand and now Sydney.

We are curators of connection, creators of exceptional moments, and a proudly evolving group with big ambition. And now—we’re looking for a marketing leader who can help write our next chapter.

The Opportunity

DHG is seeking an accomplished and inspiring General Manager of Marketing to lead and elevate our group-wide marketing strategy across events, venues, dining, precincts, and guest experiences.

In this pivotal executive role, you will shape the vision, strategy and execution of all consumer-facing marketing activity. You will oversee a dynamic portfolio—including Doltone House events hosting leading wedding, corporate and social celebrations, Hay St Market, iconic civic venues, new restaurant openings, and expansion into new markets—while championing a bold, integrated approach to brand building and storytelling.

This role is ideal for a highly strategic, hands‑on leader who thrives in fast‑paced, creative environments and is motivated by growth, innovation, and impact.

Key Responsibilities Brand and Strategy

- Lead the development of a group-wide marketing strategy aligned to DHG’s business goals and evolving brand vision.
- Strengthen and evolve brand architecture across events, dining, precincts, and hospitality services.

- Drive integrated campaigns across weddings, corporate and social events, dining, precinct launches and seasonal activations.
- Ensure storytelling excellence across all channels: web, email, social, print and experiential.

Digital and CRM

- Lead the website ecosystem, ensuring strong UX, SEO performance and continual optimisation.
- Lead CRM strategy including segmentation, lifecycle communications, automation and performance reporting.

PR and Partnerships

- Oversee PR, media liaison, influencer partnerships and story development.
- Collaborate closely with venue, culinary and guest experience teams to amplify key moments and commercial priorities.
- Form close relationships with key community stakeholders to ensure we are well aligned with the precincts surrounding our venues.

Leadership and Collaboration

- Lead and mentor a high-performing marketing team and manage agency partners.
- Partner effectively with executives, operations, sales, culinary and precinct leadership teams.

About You

You are an innovative and strategic marketing leader with a passion for hospitality, consumer brands and storytelling. You balance creativity with commercial thinking—and you love bringing ideas to life at scale.

We are looking for someone who brings:

- 10+ years’ experience in marketing leadership roles, ideally across hospitality, tourism, events, precincts, or consumer lifestyle brands.
- Proven success delivering integrated marketing campaigns across digital and traditional channels.
- Exceptional writing, storytelling and content development skills.
- Strong capability across CMS, CRM, email marketing, analytics and social platforms.
- Experience managing agencies and complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
- Excellent communication, project management and leadership capability.
- Tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Communications or a related field.
- A team-oriented, agile and highly hands‑on approach.
